Finally a community for Sharon Tate! I'm Jessica and I've been a Sharon Tate fan for several years now. I've joined this community as both moody & nicotine_alice. I'm glad the focus here isn't on the way she died or the people involved. It's time Sharon got some attention for her life rather than her death. I saw an excellent programme on A&E a few months ago, and it focused almost exclusively on her life and work. Did anyone else happen to catch it? Mia Farrow was interviewed for it, as was Sharon's sister Debra.

What does everyone think of Roman Polanski's life since Sharon's death? I know there's been plenty of controversy and I'd like to hear everyone's opinions.

Also, has anyone here read Sharon Tate and the Manson Murders? It's a flawed book (I don't like the way it's set up as being part biography/part true crime novel), but it's the only Sharon Tate "biography" that I'm aware of. I also have a book of Sharon photography that I ordered off of Amazon.com.

So, what's everyone's favourite Sharon film? Valley of the Dolls is probably mine, just because I'm also a big fan of the book...

By the way, lovely photos for the icons. I used this picture as one of my icons for awhile. Her beauty was overwhelming.

Anyway, hope this community picks up some momentum and isn't left laying stagnant!

Welcome to the community.. A friend and I decided it was about time to create one.

I've started to read Sharon Tate and the Manson Murders but haven't finished it yet. (I've owned to for over a year now and I don't know when I'll ever finish it)The Walter Chappel book is a great one but too rich for my blood (only 15 pages too). The photos are so haunting.

The Sharon Tate Biography on A&E is awesome and I'm happy that they've been playing it more and more.. Same with the Last Days of Sharon Tate on E!. It comes like twice a month now. Funny how there's more and more shows about her coming out.

CBS had the remake of Helter Skelter this past weekend which was interesting to see how Sharon was portrayed. (the actress didn't do her any justice) And the way the re-created the invasion of the house sent shivers through me.

But on to more positive things.. My favorite Sharon film has to be a toss up between "The Wrecking Crew" I loved her cheesey antics and then there's "Eye of the Devil" she was so beautiful and just loved how serious she was.

As for Roman Polanski. I can't get over if it was really true that he was cheating on Sharon which just makes me cringe. And of course the statutory rape thing..As for a director I think he's brilliant.

So welcome to our community and lets get this thing up and running!

There's a new website by the creators of www.sharontate.com called www.tatelegacy.com where they are suppose to debunk any inaccuracies about Sharon. Hopefully they'll get it up and running. Pretty cool!
